In your Ancestral Reading I seek to connect with a well and healed ancestor who would like to support your life. I do this meditation privately and provide you an audio file and written transcription of the experience. While I never know where a meditation will go, I try to cover the following:
- A name or symbols for this line of ancestors
- A strength and struggle of this ancestral line
- 1-2 questions that you supply
- Ways for you to connect with these ancestors on your own
You will receive a voice recording and written transcription of your meditation. Each meditation takes about an hour, but because I use a voice activated recorder most audio files turn out to be 30-40 minutes as pauses will be cut out.

FAQs
Can you talk with my deceased Grandma?
Probably not. Every once in a while I hear from people who feel that I connected to someone they knew in life-a grandparent or other family member/loved one. Most often the ancestors I speak with from deep within your family line. Also, when I meet with a well and healed ancestor it is usually many well and healed ancestors who show up as one “person” they create to be a kind of figurehead/symbolic representation of them all. This certainly makes it easier for me to talk with them, so I appreciate it!
I’m not close with my family. Why would I want to talk with my ancestors?
Relationships with ancestors are a very different experience than relationships with the relatives you know. Each one of us has a role to play in our family lines and sometimes that role might not be understood by your living relatives. Growing to know your well and healed ancestors can give you a feeling of connection and support from family that is especially healing when you are not receiving that from your current living ones. The feedback I’ve gotten (and experienced in my own relationships with ancestors) is that connecting with ancestors can feel like a profound gift that you didn’t even know that you needed.
What is a good question to ask my ancestors?
Ask what’s on your mind and heart. The ancestors want to support you. Anything that is important in your life right now that you need support on would be a good topic. That said, ancestors are also profound sources of wisdom on things like family dynamics, your life purpose, and long-term struggles that are hard to untangle (family history of alcoholism, abuse, etc.). They sometimes give clues about your peoples’ traditional cultures, mythologies, traditions, and skills/creative work.
